How we operate

CSNet monthly meetings are generally held on the second Tuesday of each month, starting at 12:30 with a light buffet lunch. The guest speaker’s talk commences at 1.00pm and the discussion ends promptly at 2.00pm.

Meetings operate under the "Chatham House Rule plus" - participants agree not to divulge sensitive issues outside the meeting forum. This allows speakers to be more frank and open and to offer insights into their areas of work that might not otherwise be forthcoming.  These meetings provide an excellent opportunity to hear informed speakers, gather new ideas and share views about current issues.

The network also arranges occasional site visits to interesting venues and from time to time holds informal Dinners in London to allow a more leisurely exchange between members.

CSNet Origins

CSNet, in its original guise as the 'IM-CS Network' was launched jointly by the Cabinet Office and the former Institute of management in 1974 to promote better understanding and links between senior managers in the private and public sectors.

CSNet is a corporate member of the Chartered Management Institute, offering continuity with our roots and benefits for CSNet members.
